As every year our 3rd-class students are being taught by „real“ English teachers, who visit our school for one week within the project „English in Action“. As they don’t speak any German, the students have to speak (and understand) English, German is no alternative. So they learn by playing games, acting out dialogues and creating presentations and feel like attending a school in the UK. Only the school uniforms are missing 😉
At the end of the week the four groups showed a performance in front of quite a lot of parents which were all very entertaining: Kidnapping of Justin Bieber ended with the help of the police, complaints in a restaurant with no peaceful solution, several crimes, interviews with famous footballers, a talent show, a shopping dialogue, weather forecast and so on, a bit of everything. Finally all the students got their certificate.
So again a very successful project which definitely improved the students‘ abilities in the foreign language and also boost their self-confidence. Very recommendable!
